places: a day in venice

besides the delayed ryanair flights and being up for almost 23 hours, i loved every second of being in venice! italian friends had explained why for them its their least favourite city in italy: it's like being on a stinky, overcrowded film set. but for me, the crowds of gawping tourists, jaw-droppingly beautiful architecture and glossy italians gave me plenty to be entertained by. a standout moment for me was watching an exasperated american woman yell at an utterly disinterested gondolier "but do you play music on the boat? i want music! its just not going to work for me unless you play music!" my friends and i went to see the Biennale. we scratched the surface but saw some wonderful pieces. sadly i forgot to take notes of the artists and i decided not to take my nice camera so i am left with some average photos of unknown artwork. enjoy!

on another note, i have realized that i am a gelato expert. is there an ice cream company out there who would like to collaborate with me to prove this claim? x jo
